Prime Video's original series now usually release at 12 a.m. Pacific Time, which is 3 a.m. Eastern, on the release date, at the same moment worldwide. Recent examples include Carrie (all eight episodes at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET) and the Reacher season 4 finale. Prime Video has used other times for some big launches, though, so it is worth checking each title: The Rings of Power season 1 launched at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, and Fallout season 1 at 6 p.m. PT.

"Next day" means the local date is one day later than the US date. For a few weeks in March, April, October and November the countries change clocks on different weekends, so times can be an hour off from this table; release pages always show the exact time. British Columbia stopped changing its clocks in 2026 and stays on UTC−7 all year, so from November 1, 2026 releases arrive there an hour later than on the US West Coast during the northern winter.
How Prime Video release times work
- Most current Prime Video originals arrive at 12 a.m. PT / 3 a.m. ET on the release date.
- Releases are simultaneous worldwide, so UK viewers get them in the morning and Australian viewers in the evening.
- Some shows drop the whole season at once; others release one episode a week, often on Wednesdays or Thursdays.
- Big franchise launches sometimes get an earlier evening slot, announced by Prime Video for that title.
Exceptions
- The Rings of Power season 1 premiered at 6 p.m. PT / 9 p.m. ET, with later episodes at 9 p.m. PT.
- Fallout season 1 launched at 6 p.m. PT.
